Thepsatri Rajabhat University

Thepsatri Rajabhat University (TRU) was established in 1920 as a primary school, called Lawasri School. It became the first teacher college in Lop Buri, mainly emphasizing teacher training education and offering undergraduate degrees. On the 14th of February 1992, the new name “Thepsatri Rajabhat Institute” was given by His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, and due to Rajabhat University Acts, it has become Thepsatri Rajabhat University since June 2004. 

Under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation,TRU is a local university located in the upper central region of Thailand with approximately 10,000 students, 300 lecturers and 399 supporting staff. The university’s administration structure consists of six faculties, four main offices and a Demonstration School. According to the Rajabhat Act , TRU has several major missions on local development emphasizing on academic serving, research & development, cultural & local wisdom promoting and improving life quality for local community in the service areas in Lop Buri province, Saraburi province and Sing Buri province as well as other areas assigned.
